For my ickle talky thing on Sunday I dipped back into the bible and examined Hagar's story in an ickle more detail than I had in the document I handed in. I have to say by the end of it I was on the verge of finding myself a heroine, a biblical figure I could kind of relate to (beyond Peter - who way too many of us come up with in the which disciple are you thing). Becoming a lone parent because of other people's actions and then after hitting rock bottom starting to get on with it and use the resources God had given her. Hagar rocked!
Oh and the talky bit went ok, partly because it was possible to count the number of people there on your fingers and still have some fingers left over.
