Ok, I know some people who read this are interested in the journey and so I thought I'd take time to update you a bit on the "new" life.
Firstly, the view from my window. It's something I haven't shared with people yet, but want to because it's beautiful. Sitting at my breakfast table I look out over the city and see the towers of the cathedral rising out of the trees in the middle distance. Sometimes I have to wait until the mist clears for them to emerge and sometimes they are just sitting there for me to admire. Have to say it is really quite stunning.
Job wise, I'm still searching and registering myself with agencies. A couple of things I've applied to have closing dates at the end of this week and I'm also waiting for some agencies to come back to me, but most being teaching they involve getting CRB's, etc sorted in addition to work becoming available. Have put in one retail application, but hey.... we'll wait and see.
Study wise I've been doing a bit of "refreshing myself" on stuff, but it all gets properly underway at the beginning of October. For various reasons, including uni copyright I probably won't be saying much about the study side of things.
Third Party wise things are getting there. It's amazing the capacity that young people have for getting to know each other and she's starting to get plugged into a variety of networks. One major blessing is that she has got to know a bunch of young people from the accomodation we're in through one of the girls in her youth group at church. She's also getting to know the locals at school and so all in all it's getting there.
I am slowly getting to know people, although it will be easier when uni gets underway and when I start my part-time job, (when I find it). Also once church gets its small groups going I'm sure that it will be abit easier to know people there. Being a church with a number of students think October has in some ways become the new September if you get what I mean.
Anyway, that's the update. Tomorrow it will be back to more meaningless ranting I guess, but thought it was time to give a general update for the people who haven't had all of the above through facebook messaging or phone calls.
