Imagine the scene, the church earnestly praying and you sitting there eyes wide open thinking the place is suffocating and how can you leave without being noticed when bang the women in the row in front falls sideways.
Now at this point I should have checked she was ok and gotten somebodies attention, but no me being slightly other worldly is convinced this woman, whom I don't know, is a charismatic and God's zapped her. Once she starts mumbling I feel relieved, she's come round and started to speak in tounges; so yes it was the Holy Spirit. Good job the verbal noise alerted other people with a bit more common sense (and spiritual discernment) who then dealt with the situation and actually helped the woman.
Have to say though realising that I have become institutionalised to that point of unawareness was actually quite scary for me. - Although as someone said to me later at least I was thinking that God may zap an old lady in church, rather than discounting the idea as something we ask for but are too cynical to expect might ever happen.
