Rededication and the ongoing saga

This is a post of two parts which should really be seperate but are going to be mashed upped together.

Rededication of the church on Sunday....one word, awesome. Permission has been requested from a photographer for me to be able to put some photos of the work and finished building on here, but as we were reminded yesterday it's not all about the building. The rededication was a beginning not an end.

The service was brilliant because it used so many talents. It also, through the nature of our church, was incredibly inclusive in all senses of the word. We have a diverse congregation and they were utilised well. It was great to have the minister who started the project, who I only knew through reputation, our current minister and the chair of district there working together in co-ordinating stoles.

The two hour marathon which seemed to last half the time provided a welcome relief from the ongoing saga.

The ongoing saga will, I am sure, be sorted at some point. However, I am learning through it and am a happier bunny than I was the other day. Here are two of my thoughts:

Why can't all letting agents use the same system of vetting references and guarentors? It would make sense if they all wanted the same thing.

Why do signing on fees vary so much? It would be great if they didn't apply, but as they do it would be better if they were all a set rate.
