If you like good, mellow music and live in the UK I would suggest you invest £2 in todays Sunday Times which offers a free copy of Working Man's Cafe by Ray Davies, (who used to be lead singer in the Kinks - the group who did things like Waterloo Sunset and Dedicated Follower of Fashion).
It's one of those albums where, at times, the lyrics feel a bit preachy as a grumpy old man is effectively put to music and unloads his frustrations with the direction modern society has taken. However, it's also an album which contains some clever and astute songwriting and a really relaxed m.o.r. blusey / electric folk feel. For those who don't get the Sunday Times the album is available next week to be purchased in the normal way.
Personal favourite track is Peace in our Time which is simply clever and has a catchy tune.
