No-Whereville-On-Sea did Emerging (or is it Emergent - I'm never clear on which is which) this evening as the young adults in our church hosted The Lounge this evening.
The Lounge is an alt. worship / cafe church event (they reckon cafe church, but I'd argue it's more essentially alt worship due to the space in which it occurs in and so form it takes) which the church intends to hold on a monthly basis. It was cool, or what I saw of it was - (I was the old dear in the kitchen for much of this evening).
What I particularly liked was the fact that it wasn't a local church trying to do a bad imitation of something, but rather was something which was professionally done with alot of time, effort and thought clearly involved. It was also done with adults in mind, rather than trying to be a spiritual version of Tiswas, which also impressed.
Additionally I managed morning church today with something which could almost be described as enthusiasm at times, although I don't think I was expecting to be spoken to as strongly as I was today (by the message that is).
