Soap Swaps

Emmerdale is starting to become bizarre to watch, (that should be even more bizarre to watch). Lee Hunter off Holly Oaks and Madge off Neighbours are now both now firmly installed in the Woolpack.

Oh and add to that the fact that one of the blokes in the Bill is now a policeman in the Square and the soap swaps going on at the moment are not good for ones head.

Now I know that in real life the people playing the parts are just actors and they need to make a living, but it's getting mad. One of the things about soaps was / is they can take unknowns with bags of talent and turn them into something. With all the recycling going on at the moment something's being lost.

Mind you, I suppose, it's always been like that to some extent. I remember watching Eastenders and thinking it was just wrong that Miss Brahms was Suzanne off Grange Hill's mum and don't even start me off about Tucker heading off to Sun Hill after spending a while in Walford.

I think the only sensible point contained in this post is that I have obviously spent way too much of my life watching trashy tv and soaps. As they used to say on Why Don't You perhaps I should just switch off the tv and go and do something more interesting instead.
