Scary Adventures

Third Party and I are off on an adventure this weekend. It should be a fine adventure, but it is going to be an ickle scary because it's going to involve doing an airport (which I haven't done in 20 years and Third Party has never done).

It's also going to involve going off on our own to a city where we know nobody and finding our way around. Again normally I'm staying with or know atleast one person in the location who I could call on should an adventure go wrong or I'm with somebody who can very vaguely be described as a "proper grown up".

On a plus side one of my urban family who, at the moment, is being like a fairy godmother in terms of helping facilitate some of my more outlandish ideas is seeing we get to Heathrow ok.

It's one of our memory making trips which, I think, when things get dark keep Third Party and I going through the crap because they help us both remember the fact we can have fun together sometimes. I think Third Party also appreciates the fact love is shown not through how much the adventure costs but through the fact a diary is emptied and we go somewhere where there is no computer and no marking to have some fun together. This is one of those all too rare weekends when Third Party comes first - all weekend, no work; no study; no church; none of mum's friends just me and Third Party.

This weekend is my special way of saying thanks to Third Party for all she put up with over the last two years as life got an ickle busy/ crazy/ difficult (delete as you think is appropriate).
