Until today I had no comprehension of the effects of central London traffic, and the multiple sets of traffic lights spread across the capital. I now understand that they can cause the best laid plans to go awry and leave feelings of disappointment and stress in their wake.
The conference was useful and I am glad I took my students, however it would have been even better if we had got there in time to see Grace Davie (see yesterday's post). Have to admit I've arrived home tonight shattered and just slightly gutted.
