Last Indulgence of the year

Having undertaken a proper bout of procrastination this evening I have discovered through Onmebus , (another random blog whose owner I don't know but I occassionally read) that i-tunes is now selling Fat and Frantic .

For those of you too young to remember these were a late 80's skiffle band who were loads of fun, (and actually not bad song writers and musicians either). They were Greenbelt favourites for a number of years back in the days when we all headed off to a stately home just outside Northampton rather than a racecourse on the edge of Cheltenham.

Seeing as the finanical crackdown doesn't technically start for another few hours I have indulged in Live at the Wonky Donkey which is, to my mind, their best offering and which never became available on CD. It's an album which I had kicking about on bright red tape for years, having been talked into buying it off some random guy at Greenbelt when I was a bright eyed 16 year old. Nearly 20 years on Freedom, Proud and Billy and Jacky, my favourites at the time, still stand as really strong songs.
