Connecting via the computer

Ok, so you can't physically connect to God via a PC, (well I suppose you could if you were "converted" through a website), but you can use some of the tools on your PC to help you focus and "connect" with God.

If you find it hard to focus down to prayer but have a location you know of where you do (perhaps by the sea or a forest) you could perhaps have a photo of that place as a screensaver which you sit and look at in silence for a few minutes to help you get in the right "zone" for praying.

Alternatively you could put on a soothing fractual to help you relax and focus on God.

A friend gave me an Iona Abbey mousemat for Christmas and again that is an image I can use to focus myself down on as I become aware of God's presence with me.

Finally if you want to focus on one aspect of God (like creator) or a specific area to thank God for (like friends) again you can put up images on your computer to aid you when praying.
