Last night I rather unexpectendly found myself indulging in an evening of classic Shakespeare, or rather The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged .
Imagine if you will a kind of punk rock anarchist panto for grown ups with classic lines rather than classic tunes. As with all anarcho punk rock it has the potential to be a car crash, or a slightly surreal anti-dote to the serious dominant cultural interpretations of middle class society. Well whilst it seemed to be heading for the car crash in places it was actually absolutely hilarious, and very cleverly put together. If you simply need to laugh and get the chance to see it I would heartily recommend, (although I definately would say it should have a 12A rating).
