Having had the lurgy today I have, in small snatches when heavily dosed up, been able to finish my wade through Living History by Hillary Rodham Clinton.

It's a book which has possibly taken me longer than any other to read and one which, in light of current affairs was obviously crafted with her current campaign in mind. It clearly outlines her experience in foreign aswell as domestic policy, her commitment to the reform of health care and the welfare system and her passion relating to women's / family issues and education. In short it is, as I said in my title, a skillfully crafted piece of campaign literature.

Yet is more than that; it is the story of a woman who has sought to mix faith and feminism. It is the story of a woman who has sought to juggle career and child. It is the story of a woman who had to decide how to react when the man she loved betrayed her. It is also the story of a woman who has sought to hold onto friendships through a difficult period of fame and life in the spotlight.

It's not a quick or a particularly easy read but it is one which is worth it. You probably won't agree with her on everything, but you will understand alot about everyday feminism by the end of it.
