I had a variety of interesting things arrive in the inbox yesterday, but want to bring to your attention 3 varying ones which you may or may not be interested in:
1. For anybody who may (i) happens still to smoke and (ii) be a football fan The Smoke Free League which is a tie up between Nicotenell and the Football league is giving people the chance to win £30,000 for their club and a training session with the team if you give up smoking and encourage others to do so.
2. Sojourners were offering a moral state of the union address from Jim Wallis, aswell as passing comment on the president's actual state of the union speech.
3. My local probabtion officer, (who I should probably stress I know purely as friend rather than in any professional capacity), has alerted me to the fact that there has been a three year freeze on the probation service budget.So could we please (if we're UK) consider signing this petition against, what is effectively, a cut in funding of a vital service.
