I find it rather amusing that, according to the BBC, our unions are asking for a pay rise of 6% for college lecturers. This is never going to happen, we'll be lucky if the AOC agree to recommend 3% to colleges. Even then as colleges are incorporated and so each sets their own rate of pay alot of colleges aren't going to go for the AOC recommendation. So this news story is basically meaningless.
