Retro moments and changing tv

Ok, so it's the middle of winter and we have all been feeling miserable for several months now and pow out of no where the BBC decides to help us out of the winter blues by making the licence fee worthwhile again.

It is now worth turning your tv on again, (atleast mid-week). Wednesday gives you Torchwood . Then on Thursday you can have Waterloo Road before settling down to enjoy Ashes to Ashes , (which is the sequel to Life on Mars ).

Of all of these I have to say, from the first episode, Ashes to Ashes is my favourite. This time it's set in the early '80s and has an incredible level of humour. Some of it is so clever it takes days to click though, for example one of our train crew said he thought they had gone OTT with the bullets not hitting anything, but then it registered the group doing the shooting had named themselves the A-Team. The soundtrack to the series is also excellent. All in all worth staying up and staying in for.
