Encouraging Decline

The last week or so has been an interesting time for me as I have started getting replies to the letters and e-mails I have been sending out trying to find funding.

There is a definate trend emerging, which one on hand isn't practically very helpful to my cause but on another is very encouraging.

The general format appears to be:
1) We don't fund things like this, but we think your research sounds really interesting and so keep going with it.
or
2) You don't fit our criteria for funding, but we think your reasearch sounds really interesting and so we hope somebody will fund you.

I am plodding on though, with the help of the leads I am being passed. I have also spent this morning putting together my CV ready to get sent round to the appropriate FE colleges and so forth in the event, which is looking more likely, that I do end up doing this part time.

What has struck me in putting the CV together is exactly what the last 8 years of my life has amounted to and how much God has blessed me in that. It's a CV which reflects my own efforts, but also is reflects the support I've recieved from a bunch of amazing people who have encouraged me and supported me along the way. Whatever happens in the future I know that the people I've come into contact over the last 8 years have had a significant impact upon my life which I should never forget.
