Thank goodness, in the mist of alot of nonsense being spouted the Guardian has this interview with Mark E Smith of The Fall.
Sensible point
1) That knives are not the "hard option" and are not new
2) Being an outsider is not something to lose sleep about
3) Having crisis' about our age is daft. It's a luxury our grandparents didn't have.
4) Kids today are alright compared to previous generations. Our paranoia is giving them less freedom and less chances to get into trouble.
5) The fall in house prices might actually be a good thing. People might start being able to afford houses.
Pity he's far too sensible to become a politician.
