World Heritage Sites and Sunshine

Today it has been absolutely gorgeous weather. A true spring day, the sort where the river and sky sparkle  and everything has a warm glow.

It's days like this which make you appreciate the benefits of working in a world heritage site. I was a few minutes early for my last New Testament and Social Science seminar, (we only have seminars 2 terms of the year). So I started my day with a quick tour of Palace Green - spending a few days appreciating the architecture and daffodils. After my seminar I had a quick tutorial with my supervisor where I was sent on my way with instructions to "go and enjoy the sunshine". After a refreshing glass of proper apple juice with friends from the seminar group I went and printed off some work and then sat on the green proof reading it.

Later as I went up to hand my corrected work into what looks like a Georgian Dollshouse I walked over the green again. This time there were a group of music students on there and some kind of choral type music was wafting out from their little group on the grass. I couldn't help but smile to myself .

Days like this are rare but when you get them they are to be savoured.
