Why blogging works for me

As people who arrive here regularly will know I'm pretty addicted to blogging, it's pretty much part of my daily routine. I've found it useful for several reasons (which are in no particular order).

1. Screaming into cyberspace sometimes is a useful release of frustration (particularly when politics or religion is doing my head in)

2. It allows me to think outloud and (if comments are left) get some feedback on stuff

3. Blogging in a community like this has enabled me to make some friends (some of whom have moved from just the cyber category to real life category)

4. It has enabled me share my views on some books, films and exhibitions with others. I know occassionally that this has enabled somebody else to enjoy a book they maybe wouldn't have come across (& similarly I have benefitted in this way)

5. Being part of a blogging community and reading other people's posts has taught me loads about the way other cultures (particularly the Ozzies) and other denominations do stuff

6. It allows me to talk about my life and reflect on it in a way which makes me realise how good it is overall and how thankful I should be for that

7. When life's not so good it provides me with a secondary support network

So today I am thankful to whoever it was who came up with the idea of blogs in the first place and to Dave, Chris and the rest of the team who keep the Wibsite going.

I'm also thankful to God for blogging, because for me it's one of the blessings I've recieved.
