So the here we are at the final and again Third Party and myself have gone for the approach of giving each entry a mark out of 10.
So here we go the final set of votes for the week from the no-where-ville-on-sea jury (note some of our scores have changed over the week):
Romania - 1
UK - 4
Albania - 6
Germany (girls aloud with strange flowing garments)- 7.5
Armenia - 8
Bosnia and Hertzogovina (strange caberet straight from Lost Vagueness) - 9 (worth phoning for)
Israel - 6
Finland 7
Croatia (respect to the old folk) - 8
Poland - Nil Points, although in reality probably the second worst entry
Iceland - 10 (best "proper" song and again worth the 15p to register support for)
Turkey - 5.5
Portugal - 2
Latvia - (the Pirates and the fun factor) - 9 (yet again worth phoning for)
Sweden - 1
Denmark - 7.5
Gerogia - 4
Ukraine - 3
France (what on earth was going on with the false beards and singing kak lyrics in English?) - 6
Azabaijan - (our personal favourite which we believe best captured the essence of Eurovision with the costumes and Eurobeat) - 10 (this was the 4th and final one we phoned to vote for)
Greece - 6.5
Spain - 1.5 (credit for Eurospirit but in reality the worst entry, tried to do cheese but the bo-selector thing really wasn't going on)
Serbia - 6.5
Russia - 2
Norway - 7
All in all not a classic Eurovision, and even dear Terry seemed to be a bit jaded with this one.
Third Party is about as impressed as Terry sounded with the Russian win. However, let's face it for years it's been down to political voting it's just the redrawn map of Europe now favours a different set of countries.
