Confuddled

Seems like the world is turned upside down @ the moment and I'm really not sure whether to jump up and down with joy or hide in a deep hole.

Bush is such a bad president so people start producing such good music. (Green Day, Steve Earle, and Loudon Wainright III to name a few, even Eminem it seems!) However, even the revival of the meaningful lyric doesn't justify the death of a single person on any side. Will next week really make any difference or will it just leave a divided nation where the just under 50% who feel that they were let down by the others become even more bitter and so internal division will grow?

Steve Chalke, (for so long pin up boy of the evangelical establishment in this country) produces a really good book (which I've just read, after being pursuaded to by a friend, despite my reservations about the author) and rather than the focus being the scandal of how what we are as Christians or church being so different from what we're trying to model, as the book points out, the whole world seems to go mad over one sentence. Now I'm not saying theology isn't important, but isn't the whole point that rather than getting hung up on x, y and z being really important it's how we go out and live it.

On top of that still trying to decide whether the key is to celebrate Peels life and what he gave us or mourn his death and what, probably has gone with him.

As I say I am a confuddled tractor girl at the moment.
