Fun night out ends up with strange analogy

Last night I ended up going clubbing with some friends, for the first time in I don't know how long. Now I have to admit it was an enjoyable experience. We ended the evening in a club which catered for a certain age of clubber (which I thought would have given up the activity some years before) and played 70's and 80's music.

It's amazing how the right place with a good vibe, can make bad music (and some classic sounds) seem really good and actually enhance the whole experience. It was a really good night, which I want to retain as a positive memory on that basis with a clear full stop.

However, it seemed to me that it was one of those things that could be an analogy for something a bit deeper. Basically what I came up with, admitedly before I fell in to an early morning slumber, was that I was enjoying stuff I'd previously written off as pure rubbish (& in any other context probably is) by going back and re-evaluating it in a different situation .

With my current pre-occupation with working out what I'm rejecting and what I'm keeping from my spiritual education to date it seems to me like I'll be better off re-evaluating stuff outside the box before I just write it off.
