Well, that's it, term has finished & I am allowed to be shattered (although am already panicing about work I know I need to get done, despite having booked leave).
Anyway that's by the by. Last night I sat in bed listening to some of the 'Keep it Peel Night' on Radio One. It was cool, sitting in bed, listening to a radio that was basically tuned in & wondering what was going to come on next. With so much good music being played of so many different types (there were a particularly good live thrash metal band whose name I didn't take in about 9:30 ish) it was an amazing show, pity I had to be up for work & so couldn't try to keep awake until 1. Anyway for me the highlight was listening to the words of Frankley, Mr. Shankley by the Smiths. It's not one of the Smiths tracks I have, but the lyrical humour and irony is amazing, right up there with Panic & Ask.
Due to the nature of the night it did make me reflect upon this year abit, there are a couple of bright new stars in heaven this Christmas that weren't there last year (Peel included). (Apologies if I've offended those of you whose theology that doesn't fit in with, but this year my views on who does or doesn't get in have changed considerably).
