Any one got a printer I can use?

Well today was my grandfathers memorial service. It all went well & was an appropriate day.

I, however, did have the fun of running around a rural village looking for a kind local with a working computer printer before we got that far.

Explanation: I had hand written the bit I was going to say about how I remembered my grandad, however, I decided 3 scrappy pages out of a notebook aren't really what you want to use. So I decided I would write it out on a nice A4 sheet of paper. My aunt sensibly suggested that I type it up on computer (particularly as the vicar had hinted about the use of a 2nd copy incase I lost it part way through reading it out), which I did. Her printer decided that whatever we did to it it was not going to print today, so we saved to disk and thought we would find a church office or similar to print it off in.

Well, trip one to church - I was informed by a bewildered woman doing the flowers / cleaning or something similar that there was no church office & only suitable person she knew with a computer was out looking after somebody who was sick. So I thanked her very politely and trudged off back to the family home.

Trip two to church - I went to the church early to seek out a vicar, I thought they may have a computer reasonably close. Well, no vicar was about at that point, but friendly stewards did work out that they didn't have a computer, but knew a man who would. On this basis I was escorted to a house close to the church and my need was explained and I was able to print document to read, before being hugged (in that 'don't say anything - it's all ok way) by complete stranger on my way out (whom I think was more aware than I of exactly what I was about to do).
