When I was so much younger than today...........

Occassionally you find yourself in the middle of a conversation that takes you back to when you were young(er).
Today I was taken back by a friend at work talking about the holidays she'd had as a kid when she'd gone away with her youth group and these were her main summer holidays. It was a really cool conversation as I'd had a similar youth and grown up going to camp with our youth group for several years and so we sat being so positive about it all.

What also emerged was the fact that the nature of these camps meant that we both grew up with really strong friendships with people in different parts of the country (some remain 20 years later!) and that we do roughing it abit in the British weather without too much hassell.

In addition, today, the MPhil application has taken a bit of a wierd turn in that it appears the Sociology department at the uni doesn't have an appropriate supervisor in the Sociology department so they've thrown it over to the Theology department to see if they've got anybody. I know the Sociology of Religion is a very grey area really, but this is just a little bit of an unexpected turn. Guess it's a case of wait and see now.
