Ok so today is the day. Yes at 9:00 U2 tickets go on sale to the general public for the UK leg of the HTDAAB tour and at about 9:02 I predict the system will crash. Ok perhaps I'm being a bit pessemistic, but it really doesn't matter because I am not going to be even attempting it (and no I wasn't registered for pre-sale so that's not the reason).
Besides the fact that it only appears possible to get general prices for the US leg on line at the moment (but I guess they ain't going to be cheap), the Saturday show in London (which is the only one I could get to due to work) is the same day as Green Day at Milton Keynes which I already have a ticket for.
Am I sounding a bit miffed, well yes I am a bit. I was actually ready to sit with computer screen in front of me at work and mobile on the ear trying to get a ticket (and to live on baked bins for a month to pay the ticket price). I've worked out it was 18 years ago when I saw them on the Joshua Tree tour (and yes that does make me feel extremley old) and whilst I've not been that fussed since I think the current album is one of their best for ages.
Now that was definately a proper moan rather than a reflection (but I feel much better for it).
Oh yes and I also move today (which is the reason for posting this at a ridiculous time of the morning, when I'm meant to be finishing my packing). I suppose I better unplug the machine now and so I can't get distracted anymore.
