Ok, I may not be that liberal on everything, but I do pride myself on not being too stuffy or conservative either, but I am beginning to worry that I may be getting old before my time or may have had somebody elses mind swapped with my own.
Besides recent pleasure at singing hymns with decent, soundly theological words and seeing proper pews I have had a few other experiences which have led me to think what's going on???
Comment to friend about upcoming youth service she is helping to organise, "Well, I just think it's important to go and encourage the youth. If you learn something new that's a bonus"
Reading the latest Joanna Trollope novel, (review to follow in about 30 pages time when I've finished it) I was shocked to find the f word in there, note not disgusted just shocked.
I did even have a wonder at whether political correctness was going to far with the TNIV bible they've just bought out having gender neutral language where applicable (and this is somebody who actively thinks that there should be gender neutral language where appropriate)
And as for my shock when I found out about what some of my students had been watching on channel four recently, well let's not even go there.
