Joanna Trollope - Brother & Sister is the latest thing I've read and I thought I would do a little review for you.

It's an easy read for people who like to be able to relax by reading books with a decent plot, but don't have to think beyond the level they choose to engage in. So yes it's the same sort of thing as the other Trollope books.

In some ways there are too many characters and so lacks the depth that some of her other books have, but overall still a good book with an interesting theme; she is exploring the effects that choosing to trace their birth mothers have on those around them.

Music wise I was sitting watching Top Of The Pops with Third Party this week when I was shocked to see that Duran Duran have a new single out which is number 11 in the charts. It's a good song and as Fearne pointed out when she was introducing them "and they still have good hair". - However, Simon Le Bon did look like he'd put on a little weight.

Finally on the popular culture front in the footie The Tractor Boys (that's Ipswich for those of you who don't do English footie, or anything other than the premiership) are still top of the league and 5 points clear, having won again yesterday. Still we have a long way to go to May and if we lose twice and Sunderland and Wigan win twice that means we're down into the play off zone and won't get automatic promotion.

Any way the St. Singles weekend is progressing well. Watching The Life of Brian whilst drinking Babycham (it's become a bit of a joke activity on girlie weekends) and eating cake is fun.

Also I've discovered green is the new pink.
