Well this morning I went to the university to discuss the possible study for next year and life took abit of an unexpected, yet slightly exciting turn, (subject to it fitting in with part of my life which will be remaining the same in September).
At this point it looks like I won't be going straight into the MPhil I applied to do (& which originally looked a strong possibility, despite my slightly different profile) and may well be starting by doing a taught masters in a related subject (& this time I will ensure the dissertation gets written for whatever level I end up writing it for). The strange bit is although it is a related subject to Sociology it actually falls under the Theology department and so I look likely to end up with a Theology qualification rather than a straight Sociology qualification.
However, I need to wait until I get back to work next week to see if the final piece of the jigsaw will fit (or looks likely to) and so it's abit of holding my breath until then.
