So often Christians and lefty political types are both accused of not having a sense of humour. Today was the day that some of it was put right.
Sojourners sent a classic e-mail through today. A few of the articles are available under Satire on their site. My personal favourite bit though was the following:
The Sedentary Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know when the best I can do is to stay up watching X-Files reruns with a bucket of KFC, a pint of Haagen Dazs, and a carton of Marlboros.
Schnews has another seasonal article related to various pop stars and contributions to wiping out third world debt which is worth a read. Although there is alot more cynicism in this one it is still very well written and quite funny.
