The important election - no not that one

One of the music channels has been running an interesting election on 80's v. 90's.

There have been creative, interesting, amusing election broadcasts and it all seems so much more worthwhile, somehow - whilst at the same time claiming to be nothing more than media driven, fluff.

So how will I vote in this case. Well for me it has to be the 80's. Reasons: The Cure & Robert Smiths hair, The Smiths - lyrics of a quality that will, I doubt be beaten (Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ, Hang the DJ because the music he constantly plays says nothing to me about my life), Red Wedge - Politics used to be fun & involve decent music (even if they did always lose), Duran Duran (John Taylors fringe - swoon, swoon), Wham (so were the shuttle cocks a closet thing?), Fame (where are my leg warmers), The Rubicks cuhe - only way I could do it was take it apart and reassemble it in a way which meant it would fall apart again the moment anybody else tried to touch it), Live Aid, The second summer of love - I could go on, but better not.

In favour of the 90's - yes Nirvana, Oasis, Blur and Pulp but not sure what else.

Well I think that sums it up. If you too want to exercise your right to vote - follow the link above.
