Back to normal service

Well, I tried to think of something useful & edgy to write about and all you got was silence.

Thanks to both my regular readers for giving me the gentle, but much needed kick up the backside into reality. As such normal service is resumed.

I think I better explain what's been going on. When I started this blogg it was part of my little trip exploring. I had moved out (temporarily) of "formal church" and was using the net as part of my looking a little wider than the mainstream evangelical bubble my belief system had grown up in.

About 6 months later I am now happily (I think) v.much back in "formal church", complete with having cell group meeting round here -(now who would have predicted that one?). As such I have now moved back into a potentially comfy zone. Looking back on my recent postings I kind of felt they had also moved back into the comfy zone aswell. That was what was starting to disturb me.

Now that is not to say my wanderings have not been without lasting results. I may be back in "formal church" but I think I am now much happier to be open about what I do / don't agree with (& what I am still undecided on) generally.

Also the exploring got me to a place where I knew what I want to academically explore about the changing face of church / Christianity / spirituality in this country. The end result of that is the course I start in September (although I am a little freaked by the reality of that @ the moment, now my last day of one part of my job & a chunk of my income edges ever closer).

Anyway that kind of sums up what's going on and why I wanted to get nearer the edge again, but I guess a little cheese never really hurt anybody.
