The Emerging Hermit has bought up the subject of the dualism that tends to be there in traditional (and possibly) non-traditional forms of church & our place the role of the workplace in "mission".
Unordered has then gone on to join the conversation with todays posting, which includes some really useful links.
It was an area I have briefly come across / thought about before, thinking about the work thing. A useful link on the work area is LICC.
In terms of the general dualism thing. It's one of those really awkward things that there is no easy answer to or short cut around. I guess we all know how we'd like it to be, but as to how to achieve it / if it is achieveable?- that's far more of a problem. How do we "just be church 24/7" without "organising as church"? Guess it's one of those things where we have to pray with all of ourselves (spirit and mind), listen to God, and hope he will raise up a set of Godly dreamers who can act as facilitators to show us how.
In the meantime hope that the sitting here talking about it isn't just another example of "searching a way forward" becoming a "spiritual hobby" that some of us indulge in because it isn't golf.
