Well 26 days to go, but today we shall take an interval from the story - will continue this evening - probably.
This weekend I went to see the Lennon Show .
Now obviously tribute shows should always be taken in a certain vain, as a fun night out and this was. There were a mix of Beatles and Lennon songs, as well as a few solo hits by the other Beatles (fair enough), but there were also a disproportionate amount of Wings numbers included (one can only assume they had less copyright issues associated with them).
The band themselves varied in how convincing they were (George was extremely good, Lennon not bad - better in first half costume, although there was something definately of the Liam Gallagher about him in places and Ringo not bad). The Paul McCartney type though, in the 2nd half, appeared to resemble somebody out of Mud or The Sweet more than a former Beatle though. I swear I expected him to break into either Tiger Feet or Ball Room Blitz in his platforms and black jacket with white fur lapels.
