The next installment

Well now, we find ourselves at the end of a demanding PGCE year job hunting.

First off, a trip to Surrey (where house prices are v.expensive) and a job interview for an ideal job. Well, all I can say is it was good experience - the interview went reasonably, but I was a lacking any experience of how to handle that type of interview (& it showed).

So it was time to hit the Times Ed again. There appeared to be a major shortage of Sociology jobs that year, but I had to find something, anything. So when I saw a part time non-Sociology job at a local college I kinda figured I could do that (particularly as I found out later I had totally misunderstood the job advert). Anyway that interview went slightly better and that was the start of my last four years. (Or part of it, but we'll come to that tomorrow)

At this point I was still wondering was going on, abit, and was I meant to be a teacher? I thought I was, but you wonder. However my initial fears were kinda stilled when I went to Detling . (For the majority of you who don't know Detling is a quite alot like Spring Harvest but for the lower middle classes rather than the upper middle classes;-) ) Basically it's in a field.

Now at this point I would stress I am not a particularly charismatic type and I am a bit sceptical to say the least about things like Prophecy - I believe it happens, but not as often as the "hands down for coffee" brigade would have us believe. However at Detling I was given a prophecy about me and teaching. Even now there is a bit of me which says, um......, but then again on this occassion I think, yeagh maybe just maybe it was genuine.

Anyway to see how life progressed then, tune in to the next installment of this mini-story tomorrow or when ever I can next be bothered to blogg.
