Homesicknesses and a bit of art

At the moment, when I am not watching trashy (and not so trashy) reality tv (Big Brother, Ladette to Lady, Spiritual Shopper) I am enjoying, A Picture of Britain .

Last night they featured "The Flat Lands" which are East Anglia which are Tractor Land. As such I sat there getting progressively more homesick as the programme went on, although I got a bit less homesick when they entered Norfolk.

The idea of the programme is that David Dimbleby travels round the UK looking at the landscapes which have inspired the greatest artists, writers and composers of our time. Last night he travelled around Constable Country, looking at the delights of Flatford Mill and Dedham amongst others. He then moved on in a whirlwind which included Thomas Gainsborough, John Clare and Vaughn Williams amongst others.

For those of you in London over the summer the Tate Britain has an exhibition to accompany the programme.

Today the art theme continued, as the most non-techy guy in the office started a craze of us getting art as our screensavers / wall paper. I used the Tate Collection to find Andy Wahol's Campbells Soup Tins, having found out Constable didn't work too well.
