Once upon a time you went to a festival and wrestled with a tent that you bought from a camping shop and then got soaking wet when it rained as you ran to the "toilets" which were infact long drops (holes in the ground in what looked like polling booths). Part of the wonder of it was it was one of the few places where real equality was achieved.
However, that was the past today you can buy hotel packages for Download, and as this article on NME explains you can buy £6,000 luxury camping packages for Glastonbury. Even our wonderful Greenbelt allows you to book a bed ahead and so you can hire a camping package that is set up and ready to go when you arrive.
As I say it's not like it used to be.
