On the way back from the gig I popped into the Tate Britain to look round the Picture of Britain exhibition.
It is an interesting exhibition in that it has art taken from a variety of times and styles and covers the history of the UK, in many ways, aswell as its landscape.
My favourite work was a Lowri, although I appreciated alot of the other stuff on display aswell. It was an exhibition I would certainly recommend. Also I discovered middayish on a hot day is a good time to go to this air conditioned building.
We also popped into the Joshua Reynolds exhibiton, personally not my cup of tea. So I'd only recommend it if you have Tate Membership (a good investment) or if you have some time to kill and want to get a combined ticket for just a couple of pounds more than the PoB exhibition on its own, (or if you are heavily into portraits).
