We shared coffee in the mornings
We shared sick jokes in the evenings
We shared our worries and frustrations
We shared our joys
We shared our dreams and ambitions
We shared inappropriate comments
We shared what we'd like to do to the f***ing registers
We shared memories of school days
We shared the delays
We shared the journey
Yet today it came to an end. My colleague is on a different contract and tomorrow she finishes for the summer, whilst I am off with some of my department to the races.
It is the first of a long string of goodbyes, and the first thank goodness for Facebook. Anyway today I pay tribute to Chris and Steve who have been better company than a book this year and who pushed me a little further out of my shell. They are the first of many legends I guess I'll be saluting this summer.
