The phone call went roughly as follows:

"Mum, I'm going to go and listen to Tony Benn"

"I'm impressed. He's a good speaker."

"So you've heard him before then?"

"Of course"

"Oh, I won't go then I was just looking at what would make you jealous"

"But you must go, he's a living legend"

"Ah, but I'm camping with a living legend. People keep telling me grandad is."

"Don't be daft. Just go and listen to Tony Benn, it'll do you good."

"Why?"

"Because you've had a week off school and missed your Citizenship lesson. This will be your education. Go on treat it as this weeks Citizenship lesson. Now promise me you'll go."

"Ok mum, bye."

Phone down and mum is smiling; Third Party goes to Glastonbury and inbetween swearing about the clash between The Hoosiers and Duffy notices that somebody born in 1925 speaking in the Greenfields is of some significance.
