To think about

I agree fully with Bob Geldorf and others who have condemed the violent actions of a small minority who are violent extremists dead set on violence and have gone to Scotland specifically for this purpose. Often these are young men who have been hyped up for the event.

However, you need to remember this discription could apply to both sides. The majority of both police and protestors are peaceful, well intentioned people who have the best interests of the majority at heart.

There are, however, a minority on both sides who go looking for a fight. The difference between the two? Our taxes are paying overtime for one group to be hailed as doing "a good job", whilst are taxes are paying for the others to be taken to court.

Not sure what the solution is, but the peaceful majority on both sides must make clear that the violence against individuals (all of equal worth in Gods eyes) we have seen building over the last 24 hours or so should never become viewed as justified or acceptable.
