Zone of Transition

The zone of transition is a strange, almost unreal, place to be in. It is like floating in the air after you have jumped from one ledge before you reach the next, and are able to feel the ground below you, ready to start to reestablish yourself on firm footing.

In the zone of transition the concept of routine becomes disrupted and there is the adventure of taking life as it comes, whilst preparing for the new challenges to come. There is also the challenge of filling the void for the few weeks before the new routine of so called normality appears.

There is aprehension and excitement in this zone, meeting and competing for attention. There is a feeling of why am I here? I don't like change, so why are we doing so much of it? There is a feeling of loss at what we are moving on from, yet no regret for moving.

The zone of transition is a wierd place to be. Yet the zone of transition is also a good place to travel through.

At the end of this academic year blessings on all of you who are sharing the journey through the zone of transition.
