This links you to details of the Baptist World Congress internet streaming which starts on Wednesday.
Speakers include Billy Kim (v.good bloke from Korea), Myra Blyth (v. good Scottish speaker), Rick Warren (of Purpose Driven marketing opportunity fame - sorry I have ploughed through Purpose Driven Life & bits of it were useful), Solomon Ishola (from Nigeria), Neville Callum (from Jamaica), and Jimmy Carter (-yes he is still alive - former president of the USA).
There is also going to be a range of music from around the world, I might even come back a bit more cultured;-)
I'm really looking forward to it, particularly being able to listen to more people from the Southern Hemisphere rather than the usual English / US voices which tend to dominate.
If anybody can give me details of an internet cafe in Birmingham city centre I would appreciate as will, possibly, be able to post some stuff on my view of the Congress. I know there is the new fangled text thing, but I'm really not a techy.
