Right stuff, wrong route

I seem to spend my life going on the right adventures by the wrong route, (through a mix of necessity and interesting choices) doing the same things a different way to "normal" people.

(Example: "normal" route of life: complete sixth form, go to uni, finish uni, get married, have kid; my route: drop out of sixth form, get married, go to uni, have kid, finish uni).

At the moment I am having a lower level panic because of - why do things the simple way when they can be as complicated as possible?
"Normal person" will be simply travelling to Birmingham on Wednesday and booking into hotel / campsite when they arrive, either before or after registering for conference. Then chilling before the first session in the evening.

Tractor Girl, is still working on the finer details of how to deposit Third Party in a different part of the country before her lift arrives tomorrow morning. She is still also waiting e-mail back from friend of the family, whose address she hasn't even got yet, who she has managed to cadge crash accomodation off together with info on (i) when anybody will be about for her to dump stuff - she may have to keep large bag with her during first session in evening and look a bit wierd, (ii) how to get to address she does not have. (I know I will get a phone number later in the day if still no info - I'm not that simple).

Tractor Girl is starting to panic and wishing she was far more organised. However she is also lol because it is typical and she knows by the time she leaves tomorrow morning it will all have come together.

Later note: Now lol more loudly because now has crucial info & just needs to tie up the loose ends. In short; sorted.
