Tales from the sunnyside

Just had the first news since the music started from a rather hyper young person who is on her way home.

From the conversation I gleened the following information:
Scouting For Girls were rather good; the nuns scared her silly, but she ended up having a conversation with one of them; she enjoyed Kate Nash, her Glastonbury find were the Pigeon Detectives who were awsome, she now wants the CD, Jay-Z's opening was amazing, and having gone scavenging around the site before leaving she has programmes and genuine Glastonbury bottles to give to her friends as presents.

Sounds like yet again a good festival was had by all, although she was not impressed by the security being tightened up and a one way system operating if you wanted to get into Shangrila (or however one spells it).

Sending your "nice Christian" teenager to Glastonbury with grandad may not be in your average parenting manuel, but I have to say (again) I heartily recommend it.
