I entered a world where there were no adverts for any corporation, where you could only buy fair trade tea and coffee and organic food; where it was safe for you to arrange to meet your child at midnight on a climbing frame in the village.Where it was possible to enjoy a history lesson in song (Rev Hammer's Free Born John) and the next morning be able to watch I Know I'm Not Alone a film by Micheal Franti who took a guitar into Iraq and Israel/Palestine, before moshing in the evening to the punk folk rock of Flogging Molly and then bob up and down to the indy tunes of The Wonderstuff . Then the next day it was possible to be entranced by the voice of Hazel O'Connor , go back in time with the folk tunes of Eliza Cathy and the Rat Catchers, then discover the point of mixing pop and politics from Billy Bragg , before literally legging it across the site to hear the majority of The Levellers set which climaxed with Billy Bragg joining them on stage to do some Clash covers to celebrate the fact that Sunday would have been (the late) Joe Strummers birthday.

Highlight? I don't know, too many to mention, but Free Born John was amazing, and the music was really special.
Key quote of the weekend, from Micheal Frantini: "I have learnt I am not on the side of the Iraqi's, American's, Israli's, Palestinians but rather I am on the side of the peacemakers"
Beautiful Days - truly they were :-D
