This week in the run up to my ickle part of our community reaching its first birthday I want to do a bit of a series, including a few thanks / highlights, etc. (It has to take 5 parts or I'd be even worse than usual at doing a post that's too long).
Today I want to start of by explaining why the Wibsite is so important to me. Whilst regular readers will know I do have a life, and so am not a geek who just sits on their computer all day, (honestly), I am a single mum who spends a major proportion of her evenings at home with Third Party, (although this is something I don't tend to focus on).
So quite often I get in from work totally fed up and lonely, (no disrespect to Third Party) and I do tend to find school holidays a bit difficult, as I am no longer in the hub of activity and people I am used to. However, I log on here and read what you guys have written and realise that I am not an island afterall. I sit and smile, laugh, frown, pray about, am encouraged by and learn from your postings and so am able to connect with others. Also I read the comments some of you post and know I am alone, even if I sometimes feel it (not that I'm a total Billy no mates, but you know what I mean). So over the past year you have truly revolutionalised my life :D
This is why I want to thank a few people. First off massive thanks goes to all the people whose names and links you will find on the Info Page , especially Dave CartoonChurch Walker and Chris who keep it all up and working.
Whilst I don't want to miss anybody out (and I just know I am going to over the next few days, so apologies in advance if it's you) there are also a few Wibloggers that I would particularly like to thank for what they write, and allowing us into their lives: Jack , ERG , Blonde , Smudgie , Yay , Ian , Bimble , and Dee , (amongst others).
