Yesterday The Tractor Boys,(who are having a v. average season) got a 1-1 result against Brighton. This is actually an ok result because, like most fans of the beautiful game, I have a bit of a soft spot for Brighton. This is in a large part due to the sheer determination they and particularly their fans have shown over the last six years to survive and shine.
As such, whilst the eco part of me has slight reservations, I am really over the moon that they have finally achieved planning permission for their new ground . It was quite heart warming to see the fans celebrating when I watched the highlights of the game yesterday. Look forward to seeing the new stadium when it's open because they are what footie in this country is really about.
