Test your TV literacy???

Thanks to Bimble for reminding us about Space Cadets the other day.

Now having watched a couple of episodes I am of the opinion that this is an experiment regarding tv literacy on one hand and exactly how gulible (or in search of fame) are those who apply for reality tv shows,on another and finally how far can you push that strange 9-10pm slot interms of what is and isn't allowed immeadiately post-watershed, rather than the hoax that is being put forward.

This fits in to a certain extent with some of the conspiracy theories being put forward on the discussion forum, but differs slightly.

My evidence for these claims:
1. In "real" reality tv shows they do not as good as give the location of where they are, (almost inviting the public to try and get in). In this case they have given enough information that any locals of Tractor Land have no doubt about where they are (and probably people who have only a limited knowledge of the area are similarly aware - from the fact we are constantly reminded "they are in an aircraft hanger and former barracks about 10 miles away from Ipswich")

2. They keep pointing out if they are rumbled that Jamies TV dinners will take over.

3. They are putting so much rubbish into the lectures, etc that they obviously want to get rumbled

4. This is a largely pre-recorded show, not live - as you can tell by the fact they are saying "we think we may have been rumbled from this night time talking" - when they said the "contestants" haven't even gone to bed.

5. The language being used (without beeping) and some of the subject matter would normally be considered post 10pm material, but is being put on at 9:00pm

6. There is no v.expensive phone line being given for us to use

7. Although the guy with the "side show Bob hair" is not an actor he has obviously clocked it but is keeping quiet

Having said that it does make facinating tv, in terms of how far they'll push it and what exactly they are up to - and for Tractor Land locals Johnny Vaughn's comments increase relating to the local area make it even more funny(e.g. Creating a gravity free environment is a problem in Ipswich, in Norwich it may be a different matter).
